A powerful storm in Uttar Pradesh’s Bareilly district left a man seriously injured after strong winds lifted him along with a tin shed and threw him nearly 50 feet away. The shocking incident, which was caught on camera, has gained attention as severe weather affected several parts of the state.
The injured man, identified as Nanhe Miyan, suffered fractures in his hands and legs after falling to the ground during the storm on Wednesday. The incident happened in Bamiyana village under Bareilly’s Bhamora police station area.

"It was 30-40 feet high. I don't know where I fell. I was at least 50 feet away," he told NDTV, further adding that he was holding the rope, hoping it would keep him safe. But the powerful wind snapped it.

What did officials say after reaching the hospital
As per NDTV reports, an official present at the hospital spoke to Nanhe and assured him that the authorities would provide all necessary help and support.
How severe was the storm damage across Uttar Pradesh
According to news agency PTI, heavy rain and thunderstorms hit Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday, killing at least 89 people, injuring 53 others and damaging 87 houses.As per NDTV reports, officials also said that around 114 livestock died due to the severe weather conditions.
"Districts have been instructed to send situation updates every three hours. Information regarding compensation distribution, rescue operations and other relief works should also be updated on social media platforms," the statement said.
Heavy damage was reported from districts such as Prayagraj, Bhadohi, Fatehpur and Sonbhadra.

What instructions did the CM give after the deadly storms
The Bareilly incident happened during a deadly weather system that affected several parts of Uttar Pradesh. As pert NDTV reports, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath directed all districts to send updates every three hours about damage caused by storms, rain and lightning. He also asked officials to share information about relief work and compensation on social media, according to an official statement released on Thursday.
