The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the answer key for the Civil Services Examination (CSE) Prelims 2025. Candidates who appeared for the examination on May 25, 2025, can now access and download the answer key through the official website, upsconline.gov.in.

Important announcements
Along with the release of the answer key, the Commission also announced a major change in its examination process. UPSC stated that 2025 will be the final year in which the answer key is published only after the completion of the entire Civil Services Examination process. From the 2026 examination cycle onward, provisional answer keys will be released shortly after the Civil Services Preliminary Examination is conducted.
The UPSC CSE Prelims 2025 examination was held on May 25, 2025. Candidates who qualified in the preliminary stage later appeared for the mains examination, which took place between August 22 and August 31, 2025.
Those who cleared the mains were then called for the interview and personality test rounds conducted between January and April 2026. The final result of the examination was declared on March 6, 2026.

Candidates can download the UPSC CSE Prelims 2025 answer key by visiting the official website and clicking on the āCSE 2025 Prelims Answer Keyā link available on the homepage. The answer key PDF will then open on the screen, which can be downloaded and saved for future reference.
