Tamil superstar Vijay has become a major focus of political headlines and pop culture discussions after his party Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) delivered a strong performance in the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections. The actor-turned-politician’s first electoral outing has surprised established parties and excited supporters across the state.
Amid post-result celebrations, a scene from his 2024 film GOAT has resurfaced online, with fans linking it to his political rise and calling it a “prediction” of events that unfolded later.
TVK’s stunning electoral entry
TVK, contesting its first assembly election, secured 108 seats in the 234-member Tamil Nadu Assembly, becoming the single-largest party. While falling short of the 118-seat majority mark, the result placed Vijay at the centre of coalition talks and political speculation about his potential rise to the position of chief minister.

According to a Hindustan Times report, it is seeking support from smaller parties in both the DMK and ADMK camps. Vijay formed the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) in 2024, although he had expressed interest in entering politics much earlier. By the time the party was launched, he had already indicated his intention to leave films and enter active politics. Around this period, his films reportedly began including references linked to his political plans. One such example was in the 2024 film GOAT, which was initially intended to be his final movie before full-time politics.
The viral ‘TN CM 2026’ scene
A scene from GOAT shows Vijay driving a car with a visible number plate reading: ‘TN 07 CM 2026’. The clip has resurfaced widely after the election outcome, with fans calling it symbolic foresight of his political ambitions and timing.
Fans react with ‘manifestation’ theories
Social media users flooded platforms with reactions. One post read, “Peak detailing by @actorvijay.” Another viral comment said, “He manifested it way before it mattered.” A third added, “Bro is a time traveller but i can't prove it.” Many even dubbed it a “God-level prediction” moment.

From cinema to political reality
Before founding TVK in 2024, Vijay had hinted at entering politics and gradually reduced film commitments. Vijay’s final film, Jana Nayagan, is still unreleased. The H Vinoth directorial was supposed to hit the screens in January but has been stuck in limbo after the CBFC refused to certify it.
Vijay’s crossover from cinema to politics has created a rare overlap of reel and real narratives. What once looked like a film easter egg is now being seen as a symbolic reflection of his political rise.
Whether coincidence or creative foreshadowing, the ‘TN CM 2026’ number plate has become a cultural talking point .
