Yash’s much-awaited film Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups has been postponed once again, with the makers deciding to push back its scheduled June 4 release. The update has disappointed fans who were eagerly waiting to watch the Kannada star return to the big screen after the massive success of the KGF franchise.
Directed by Geetu Mohandas, Toxic has remained one of the most discussed upcoming Indian films ever since it was announced. The project has drawn attention for its large scale, international appeal and Yash’s first major release since KGF Chapter 2 became a box office phenomenon.
Yash shares official update
Confirming the postponement, Yash shared a statement on his Instagram post, explaining the reason behind the delay. The actor said the team wants to ensure the film is presented in the best possible manner and reaches audiences worldwide at the level it deserves.

He reportedly said, “This film deserves to reach its fullest potential worldwide.”
The statement suggested that pending production work, post-production commitments and the scale of the release were among the factors that influenced the decision. While no fresh date has been confirmed yet, the makers said a revised release plan will be announced soon.
Second release delay for the film
This is not the first time Toxic has faced a schedule change. The film was initially expected to be released in March 2026 before being moved to June 4. That shift had already raised questions among fans about the production timeline.
Now, with the June date also dropped, it marks the second postponement for the project. Despite the delays, interest in the film remains high due to the anticipation surrounding Yash’s comeback and the film’s ambitious scale.
Large productions often face scheduling changes because of visual effects work, editing timelines, overseas distribution planning and release strategy. In the case of Toxic, the makers appear focused on ensuring a stronger worldwide launch rather than rushing the release.
