A 22-year-old man in northeast Delhi has been arrested under charges of performing dangerous stunts with his motorcycle and harassing passengers of moving buses to make a reel for social media, police stated on Tuesday. The incident first appeared online on February 16.
Viral clip triggers police action
The video of this incident has been circulating widely online. According to police, in the video, the man is seen riding his motorcycle recklessly without a license plate. He is also seen opening the doors of moving vehicles, including a Delhi Transport Corporation bus.
A senior police officer stated, “Taking cognisance of the viral reel, a case was registered at New Usmanpur police station, and further investigation was launched.”

CCTV scan leads to arrest
Police teams examined CCTV footage to identify the culprit in the viral video. The culprit has been identified as Tushar Puniya, a resident of Khajuri Khas. The police have arrested him. The police also recovered the motorcycle that Tushar Puniya is believed to have used to perform this stunt. The plate of this motorcycle had been removed to avoid detection.

Dangerous manoeuvres caught on camera
In the video, the stunt rider passes through moving vehicles and suddenly opens the doors of some of the vehicles, including a DTC bus. The video shows that he is riding very close to other moving vehicles.
The officials have said that the investigation is still underway to check if the suspect has a history of such incidents.
This incident is a part of a growing list of incidents in which the perpetrators have been prosecuted for performing stunts for social media.
