A destination for the mind in the city! In a significant step toward strengthening mental healthcare access in the city, Caring Minds International has opened a new mental health OPD clinic at 28/8 Gariahat Road in South Kolkata. The facility has been designed as a comprehensive space where individuals can seek professional support for psychological well-being alongside physical health concerns.

The newly launched centre marks an expansion of the organisation’s long-standing work in the field. Caring Minds International, which has been engaged in mental health awareness and services for the past 13 years, has now moved into a seven-storey building spread across nearly 40,000 square feet.

With this upgrade, the centre stands among the largest mental health OPD clinics in eastern India, offering a wide range of services under one roof.

Multi-speciality care under one roof

The facility includes more than 16 consultation rooms and brings together a team of over 40 specialist doctors and therapists. The aim is to ensure that patients can access different forms of mental health support without needing to move between multiple locations.

From psychiatric consultations to therapy sessions, the clinic has been structured to provide integrated care in a single setting.

Introduction of recovery 360 wing

One of the key features of the new centre is the Recovery 360 wing. This section introduces hydrotherapy, or water-based therapy, in Kolkata for the first time within a mental health OPD setup.

This form of therapy is particularly beneficial for individuals recovering from conditions such as stroke or arthritis, where controlled movement and rehabilitation play a crucial role.

The clinic also includes specialised therapy suites designed for children, ensuring that younger patients receive care in a comfortable and supportive environment. Calm rooms have been set up to help individuals relax and manage stress during their visits.

In addition, the facility houses a 100-seat auditorium named Satyajit Ray Hall, which is expected to be used for events, sessions, and community engagement activities related to mental health.
