Amidst the crowds, noise and excitement of the Kolkata Book Fair, stall number 198 of 'Ei Samay' newspaper seemed to shine particularly bright on this day. The reason was that Bengal's beloved superstar Prosenjit Chatterjee had arrived there. Today, he was honoured with the 'Padma Shri' award for his contributions to the world of arts over several decades. So crowds of people flocked to the book fair grounds to catch a glimpse of their favourite actor who had come to the 'Ei Samay' stall. The entire area was filled with cameras, mobile phones and excitement.

Coming to the 'Ei Samay' stall, Prosenjit said, "My relationship with 'Ei Samay' goes back many years. Getting to meet readers and viewers so closely at a place like the book fair is truly a wonderful experience."

His words clearly reflected sincerity and enthusiasm. The actor also mentioned that the atmosphere of the book fair has always attracted him. Because here, culture, literature and cinema-everything comes together.

Prosenjit Chatterjee also spoke about his recently released film 'Bijaynagarer Hire'. He told the audience, "This film is very close to my heart. The story, characters and atmosphere—we've tried to give a different experience combining everything. I would request everyone to go to the theatres and watch the film." His appeal immediately sparked applause and cheers from the gathered crowd. Besides acting, he also mentioned that he is considering returning to direction, shared the beloved 'Bumbada' of eight to eighty-year-olds. He said he always enjoys working with newcomers. All in all, the stall area then had not just a star sighting, but a festive atmosphere. This moment created around books, cinema and the star carved out a special place in the book fair's memories.
