The Corporate Cricket Championship 2026 begins today at Jadavpur’s Laylka ground, with 16 corporate teams competing in a six-overs-a-side format.

With just a week left for the T20 World Cup to begin in the city, the spotlight turns to corporate cricket as professionals step away from laptops and office desks to take the field. The Corporate Cricket Championship 2026 begins today at the Laylka ground in Jadavpur.

The tournament will see employees from several reputed corporate houses in Kolkata competing with bat and ball. A total of 16 teams are taking part, divided into four groups. The preliminary matches will be held on January 31, February 1 and February 7.

The semi-finals and final are scheduled for February 8.

Only the top team from each group will qualify directly for the semi-finals. All matches in the tournament will be played in a six-overs-a-side format. Every match will be hosted at the Laylka ground, located in the Jadavpur Regent Estate.

The championship is being organised ahead of the T20 World Cup, offering a competitive but relaxed platform for corporate professionals to experience the spirit of cricket.

The event blends sport, teamwork and recreation, giving participants a chance to unwind while staying connected to the game.

Royal Enfield is the main sponsor of the tournament. Tata Motors has joined as the automobile partner, while Novesta is the real estate partner.

Aviana Holidays is the tour and travel partner, Annapurna Snacks the food partner, Anandrathi the investment partner, and Irish Hospital the health partner.
