The West Bengal Board of Secondary Education (WBBSE) declared the Madhyamik Result 2026 on Friday morning, with an overall pass percentage of 86.83 per cent. The results were announced during a press conference held at 9.30 am.
Students who appeared for the Class 10 board examination can check their scorecards on the official websites, including WBBSE official website and wbresults.nic.in. The result link was activated at 10.15 am.
Abhirup Bhadra tops examination
Abhirup Bhadra secured the first rank in the Madhyamik examination this year. Priyatosh Mukherjee stood second, while Ankan Kumar Jana and Mainak Mandal jointly secured the third rank.
Arijit Bor, Arun Kamakar, Souvik Das and Soham shared the fourth position, while Dwaipayan secured the fifth rank.
According to the board, 131 students featured in the top 10 merit list, representing 19 districts across the state. Among them, 103 were male students and 28 were female students.
Performance highlights
The overall pass percentage this year saw a slight rise compared to last yearâs 86.5 per cent.
Among the successful candidates:
1.46% scored between 90 and 100 marks
3.81% secured 80-89%
9.65% received A grade
15.42% obtained B+ grade
20% secured B grade
34.49% got C grade
Kolkata recorded a pass percentage of over 92 per cent in the Class 10 examination.
The Madhyamik examinations were conducted from February 2 to February 12, 2025. Exams were held in a single shift from 10.45 am to 2 pm, with the first 15 minutes allotted for reading the question paper.

Students can access their results through multiple official platforms, including DigiLocker.

To check the result online, candidates need to visit the official WBBSE website, click on the âWB Board 10th Result 2026â link, enter login credentials and submit the details to view the marksheet.
Students can also download their digital marksheet through DigiLocker by logging in with their registered mobile number or Aadhaar details and accessing the âIssued Documentsâ section.
The board has advised students to remain patient in case websites slow down due to heavy traffic.
