Deadly head-on collision between two buses on NH-12 in Nadia leaves three dead, including a child

Three people, including a six-year-old child, died and six were injured after two buses collided head-on on NH-12 near Dhubulia in Nadia district.

On Wednesday, a horrific accident occurred on National Highway 12 near Dhubulia in Nadia district. After the sun finally settled down on the western horizon for the day, two buses collided with each other following a devastating loss of control. The fatal incident resulted in the death of three people, including a child.

Two of the deceased in the collision were identified as 25-year-old Rozina Khatun and 6-year-old Rashid Sheikh. However, the identity of another victim was still unknown at the time of reporting. Six passengers were reportedly injured. The injured were quickly admitted to the hospital. The incident has caused a stir in the area.

It has been learned that the accident occurred in the Bahadurpur area under the Dhubulia police station of Nadia district. The fatal road accident took place when a private bus heading towards Berhampore collided head-on with a bus coming from the other direction, travelling from Mayapur to Krishnanagar.

The injured were rescued and taken to Shaktinagar District Hospital. Upon being taken to the hospital, the doctor on duty at the hospital during that time declared three people, including the child, dead. Police have already impounded both vehicles involved in the accident. The driver of one of which has fled the scene.
