A Devastating fire broke out at a glass factory warehouse in the Denduya area in Asansol on Monday afternoon. The warehouse stored a large quantity of flammable materials, which caused the fire to spread quickly across the entire factory. Workers from nearby factories, alarmed by the flames, immediately informed the police and the fire department.
A fire engine reached the spot, and firefighters brought the blaze under control after nearly an hour and a half of effort.

A factory official said, âThe preliminary assumption is that the fire started due to a short circuit in a machine. Fortunately, there were no casualties. However, damage worth crores of rupees has been incurred.â The fire department added that the cause of the fire still needs a detailed investigation, and the full extent of the damage cannot be confirmed at this time.
A worker from a nearby factory described, âSuddenly, I saw black smoke covering the factory. Thatâs when I realised a fire had broken out nearby, and the fire department was informed.â
