Late-night SpiceJet operations from Mumbai descended into chaos, with prolonged delays and cancellations stranding passengers headed to Bengaluru, Ahmedabad and Delhi.
Some of the worst-affected were passengers on SpiceJet’s late-night flights to Bengaluru, which departed after a delay of nearly nine hours. Late-night flights to Delhi were eventually cancelled, along with a daytime flight to Gorakhpur. A night flight to Ahmedabad departed around three hours behind schedule, according to The Times of India.
Flight SG 874 of SpiceJet was scheduled to depart at 1:55 am, with passengers arriving at the airport as early as midnight.
