According to industry observers, the price impact may vary somewhat depending on brand strategy and market inventory. However, overall, a trend of rising personal computer prices in the retail market may be seen in the coming months.

Due to increased prices of important components like processors, graphics units and memory, laptop and desktop prices could rise by up to 35 percent this year. This concern has emerged in a Moneycontrol report.

According to industry analysts, personal computer prices could increase significantly mainly due to rapid increases in DDR RAM prices and shortages of Intel's entry-level processors. This impact could affect laptops and desktops across various segments.

Pressure from rising component prices

According to the report, memory components are creating the most pressure on personal computer prices. DDR RAM prices have risen rapidly in recent months. As a result, production costs for device manufacturers are also increasing. At the same time, limited supply of entry-level Intel processors has created problems in the market. This is further increasing production costs. Typically, manufacturers pass on a portion of these additional costs to buyers. As a result, prices of entry-level and mid-range devices could increase noticeably.

According to industry observers, the price impact may vary somewhat depending on brand strategy and market inventory. However, overall, a trend of rising personal computer prices in the retail market may be seen in the coming months.
