Eligibility criteria for foreign applicants

This usually means having a strong academic background in a relevant field and, if necessary, proof of English language proficiency. Depending on the department's rules, PhD applicants may also need to show that they have done research or send in research proposals.

Application process and required documents

IIT Delhi says that the whole application process for foreign students is done online through the school's official admission portal. During the registration process, applicants must send in their academic transcripts, certificates, ID documents, and any other relevant materials. Candidates who make the shortlist may be asked to go through more evaluations, which could include interviews or more tests, depending on the program.

The institution wants to encourage collaboration in higher education and research around the world by letting international students apply. The institute has been steadily getting more involved with scholars and institutions from other countries through exchange programs, joint research projects, and partnerships with other academic institutions.
