The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released an important advisory for students applying for the UGC NET June 2026 exam. The agency shared details about application rules, subject selection, and information needed during registration.
According to the official notice, candidates should carefully fill out the application form because mistakes may not be corrected later. NTA also warned students not to submit multiple application forms for the exam.
NTA warns against multiple application forms
As per NDTV reports, the exam body said that candidates should submit only one application form for the UGC NET June 2026 exam. The notice also stated that multiple applications for the same subject or different subjects will not be accepted. The official notification stated that if a candidate submits more than one application form, only the last submitted form will be accepted and all other applications will be rejected.

Candidates advised to select subjects carefully
The National Testing Agency also advised students to carefully choose their subject while filling out the application form. According to the official notice, candidates will not be allowed to change their selected subject after submitting the form.
The agency also asked applicants to make sure that all details entered in the application form are correct and complete before final submission.
UGC NET June 2026 exam schedule released
As per NDTV reports, the registration process for the UGC NET June 2026 exam started on April 29 and will continue till May 20, 2026. According to the official schedule, the examination will be held from June 22 to 30, 2026. Candidates can submit the NET applications at ugcnet.nta.nic.in.. The exam will be conducted in computer-based test mode for 85 subjects.

The official notice also said that students must choose the subject related to their postgraduate studies while applying for the examination.
The UGC NET June 2026 exam is conducted to decide the eligibility of Indian candidates for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), Assistant Professor posts and admission to PhD programmes in universities and colleges across India.
Students preparing for the examination have been advised to carefully read the official guidelines before submitting their forms during the application process.
