Candidates appearing for the NEET UG Re-Test 2026 must ensure they carry all the required documents to the examination centre. The National Testing Agency (NTA) has made it clear that entry into the exam hall will be allowed only after proper verification. Missing any mandatory document could create problems at the venue and may even result in denial of entry.

Documents you must carry to the exam centre

The most important document is the NEET UG Re-Test admit card. Candidates should bring a printed copy downloaded from the official website. Details printed on the admit card, including the photograph and barcode, should be clearly visible.

Along with the admit card, candidates must carry an original photo identity proof. Accepted documents include Aadhaar card, PAN card, passport, voter ID card, driving licence or a valid school identity card, wherever applicable.

A passport-size photograph matching the one uploaded during the application process should also be carried. Some candidates may also be required to bring a postcard-sized photograph if it is mentioned in the admit card instructions.

Candidates applying under the Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) category must carry their valid disability certificate issued by the competent authority.

Please bring the required undertaking forms and supporting documents as prescribed by the authorities. If a self-declaration or undertaking form has been issued along with the admit card, candidates should complete it and carry it to the examination venue.

Exam duration increased by 15 minutes

The NTA has increased the duration of the NEET UG 2026 examination to 195 minutes, or 3 hours and 15 minutes.

The exam will continue to begin at 2 pm, but it will now conclude at 5:15 pm instead of 5 pm. According to the notification, candidates will have a total of 195 minutes to attempt the paper and complete all necessary formalities.

The additional time is expected to reduce pressure caused by administrative procedures such as attendance verification, thumb impressions and other mandatory checks conducted inside the examination centre.

More space for rough work

Another significant change is the increase in rough-work space within the question booklet. Candidates will now have additional room for calculations and notes, particularly useful for Physics and Chemistry sections that often involve lengthy numerical work.
