Actors' Saif Ali Khan’s next movie, Kartavya, will be released on Netflix on May 15, as revealed by the producers on Wednesday.
The news was tweeted by Shah Rukh Khan on Instagram: “Kartavya ke iss chakravyuh mein, har faisla ek imtihaan hoga… Watch Kartavya, out 15 May, only on Netflix.”
The news comes after Netflix had teased its fans by releasing a poster of Saif in a police uniform, standing in a field with apparent injuries.
A cop drama rooted in moral conflict
Directed by Pulkit, Kartavya centres on a police officer pushed to his limits in a morally complex world. The story follows Saif’s character as he navigates escalating threats while balancing professional duty and personal responsibilities.

Ensemble cast and production details
The movie is directed by Gauri Khan through her banner of Red Chillies Entertainment. Other than Saif, other notable stars in the movie include Rasika Dugal, Sanjay Mishra, Zakir Hussain, Manish Chaudhari, and Saurabh Dwivedi.
Given its real-life setting and character-centric approach, Kartavya seems to be a deep crime thriller film where the line between good and bad gets blurred.
