A leaked picture from the sets of comedian Samay Raina’s hit YouTube show India's Got Latent Season 2 has created buzz online after actors Alia Bhatt and Sharvari were spotted filming for the show. The actors are reportedly appearing to promote their upcoming spy thriller Alpha.
The viral image showed Alia and Sharvari seated on a panel alongside comedian Aashish Solanki and Balraj Singh Ghai, founder of Mumbai’s comedy venue The Habitat, both of whom were regular faces during the first season of the show. A new logo of India’s Got Latent was also visible in the picture, hinting at a revamped second season.
Fans react to celebrity's appearance on the show
The leaked image quickly triggered mixed reactions on X and Reddit. While some viewers were excited to see the return of the controversial comedy show, others feared the series might lose its original format and identity.

One social media user on Reddit wrote, “Latent will soon become film promotion show.” Another commented, “It won't be as funny as before. I expect more Bollywood people than actual funny comedians to make an appearance.” Several users also questioned whether the show would retain the same edgy humour and unpredictability that made Season 1 popular online.
India’s Got Latent controversy revisited
India’s Got Latent had emerged as one of YouTube India’s most talked-about comedy shows after its launch in 2024. Hosted by Samay Raina, the show featured contestants performing unusual acts before a panel of comedians and internet personalities.

The controversy resulted in backlash across multiple states, police complaints and FIRs against Samay Raina, Ranveer Allahbadia and several panelists. Following the outrage, all episodes from Season 1 were removed from YouTube.
