Raja Shivaji continues its strong theatrical run as it enters the ₹100 crore club, marking a major moment for Marathi cinema. The Riteish Deshmukh directorial has now become only the second Marathi film to reach this benchmark, after sustained performance at the box office across its release window, per a report by Hindustan Times.
Historic ₹100 crore milestone achieved
The film has officially crossed the ₹100 crore gross mark in its third week, consolidating its position among the biggest Marathi hits ever. Trade reports cited by HT suggest that the film’s steady earnings have helped it maintain momentum even after its initial weeks in theatres.
With this, "Raja Shivaji" has moved ahead of several recent Marathi successes and secured its place just behind "Saira", which remains the only Marathi film to cross ₹100 crore historically, reported HT.

Second Marathi film to enter elite club
With its latest figures, "Raja Shivaji" has become only the second Marathi film to join the ₹100 crore club. The milestone places it in an elite list of regional blockbusters and marks a rare achievement for Marathi cinema in the nationwide box office landscape.
The film’s sustained performance over multiple weeks has been credited for pushing it past earlier benchmarks set by other Marathi titles, including "Baipan Bhari Deva."

Race towards Sairat’s all-time record
The focus has now shifted to whether Raja Shivaji can surpass Sairat, which still holds the record as the highest-grossing Marathi film with around ₹110 crore worldwide.
Industry tracking suggests that while Raja Shivaji has already crossed major milestones, overtaking Sairat will depend on its remaining theatrical run and continued audience turnout in the coming days.
