Veteran Bollywood actor Shakti Kapoor has reacted strongly to rumours about his death that recently began circulating on social media. The 73-year-old actor addressed the claims through a video shared on Instagram on Thursday, assuring fans that he is doing well.
The actor, known for his comic and villainous roles in Hindi cinema, called the reports fake and urged people not to believe them.
"Hello everyone. My death news is all fake. I am healthy and happy. Please ignore it," Shakti Kapoor said in the video message.

Actor plans legal action
Along with dismissing the rumours, Shakti Kapoor also revealed that he intends to take legal action against those responsible for spreading the false information online.
"I am going to file a cyber complaint about it because this is not good," he added.
Fans flooded the comments section of his Instagram post, expressing relief after hearing directly from the actor and wishing him good health.

The incident also brought attention back to comments made earlier by his daughter, actress Shraddha Kapoor, about his inspiring journey in the film industry.

Shakti Kapoor has worked in nearly 700 Hindi films over a career spanning more than four decades. He became widely popular for both negative and comic roles in films such as Andaz Apna Apna, Raja Babu, ChaalBaaz, Hungama, Bhagam Bhag and several others.
