A fiery monologue delivered by Rupali Ganguly in the latest episode of the hit TV drama Anupamaa has taken over social media, spawning memes, reels and endless reactions from viewers.

In a tense confrontation scene, Ganguly’s character launches into a rapid-fire threat-laden speech punctuated by the now-viral line, “ghuma ghumake marungi”. The dramatic outburst, aimed at the character Rajani played by Rinku Dhawan, quickly travelled beyond television screens as clipped videos flooded X, Instagram and WhatsApp groups.

Many users compared the intensity of the delivery to over-the-top action heroes, jokingly dubbing the actor “Sunny Deol ultra pro max”.

Dialogue turns into meme goldmine

The scene shows Anupamaa warning her rival in escalating phrases that she will drag, chase, spin and beat her, ending with the line that even pain would be “confused” about where to focus.

Viewers turned the exaggerated threats into humorous edits. One user wrote, “50 shades of marungi,” while another called it “Breathless maarungi,” likening the pace of the dialogue to a rapid monologue. A popular post joked, “My mother when I got 2 in my maths test.”

Others praised the performance. “The way she delivered the dialogue… goosebumps,” read one reaction. Another user commented, “Dard bhi confused ho jayega… beyond epic.”

There were also critical voices calling the scene excessive. “Actors should be sensible enough not to deliver such over the top funny dialogues,” one post read, while another simply labelled it “cringe”.

Some fans even suggested remix potential, tagging music creator Yashraj Mukhate to turn the speech into a song.

‘Back-to-back intense scenes’: Rupali responds

Responding to a fan on X about how exhausting such emotionally charged scenes are, Ganguly revealed that such sequences are often shot continuously.

“These scenes r literally done back-to-back and two different scenes in two different units almost simultaneously… bas karm karte jao,” she wrote, adding that the crew’s energy keeps her going. “Team effort hai… jab woh log nahi thakte toh main kaise thak jaoon.”
