The next film of the Guptodhon franchise is officially on its way, bringing Sonada back to the big screen in the 'Saptadingar Guptodhon' after a four-year wait. The fourth instalment was launched with a muhurat ceremony on Saturday. In the upcoming chapter of the adventure-mystery franchise, Sonada will set out on another journey with Abir and Jhinuk in search of Saptadinga, following his previous adventures in Guptodhoner Sandhane, Durgeshgorer Guptodhon and Karnasubarner Guptodhon.
Kaushik Ganguly's mysterious role
However, a moment from Sunday's muhurat ceremony has already sparked curiosity amongst the fans. Filmmaker Kaushik Ganguly will be seen in a special role in the film, marking his first association with the Guptodhon universe. It has not been revealed what role Ganguly will be playing, leaving fans guessing whether he will play a positive or grey-shaded role.

Saptadingar Guptodhon to reunite fan-favourite trio
The upcoming chapter of the franchise is going to revolve around the trio that audiences have grown attached to over the years. Abir Chatterjee returns as Sonada, with Ishaa Saha as Jhinuk and Arjun Chakrabarty as Abir. Their chemistry, under the direction of Dhrubo Banerjee, has been a key reason for the series’ popularity. The new film will also introduce several additional characters in important roles. Shooting is expected to begin by the end of this month.
On the production front, SVF continues its long-standing association with the franchise. Indraadip Dasgupta will be composing the music for the upcoming film, adding continuity to the series’s soundscape. If everything stays on schedule, the fourth Guptodhon film is likely to hit the theatres by this year's summer break.
