Actress Madhumita Sarkar tied the knot on the day of Saraswati Puja. The actress has started a new chapter of her life with her boyfriend, Debmalya Chakraborty. The wedding ceremony was held at the house of an actress's relative in Baruipur.

Sunday was Madhumita and Debmalya's boubhat. The newlyweds held their reception at Shobhabazar Rajbari.

Both on the wedding day and boubhat, Madhumita's attire featured touches of red. On her wedding day, Madhumita wore a red Banarasi saree. She paired it with heavy gold jewellery and floral decorations.

Madhumita also wore a red saree for the boubhat. She wore a designer red saree with a full-sleeve blouse.

She had kundan jewellery around her neck. White flowers were tucked into her open hair. The new groom wore an off-white sherwani. He accessorised with a gold chain, bracelet, and watch.

The reception venue was also decorated in red and white to complement the newlyweds' attire. The boubhat ceremony was decorated with red roses and white tuberose flowers. A trident placed right behind Madhumita and Debmalya's seating area also drew special attention.

Madhumita stepped into her in-laws' house on Saturday evening. Debmalya drove the car with his wife seated beside him. After offering prayers at the Shiva temple, Madhumita performed her griha pravesh by dipping her feet in milk and alta and walking over white cloth.
