A shocking hit-and-run incident in West Delhi has left a dry fruit trader and his young daughter seriously injured after a speeding car rammed into them and fled the scene.

According to The Times of India, the incident occurred on April 5 in Tilak Nagar when the 39-year-old businessman was walking to a gurdwara with his daughter around 10:30 am. As they reached an intersection near a school in Mukherjee Park, a purple car allegedly sped through the narrow lane and struck them. CCTV footage, now widely circulating on social media, captures the chilling moment of impact.

Father’s instinctive act saves daughter

In the footage, the father and daughter are seen walking through a tight residential passage lined with parked vehicles. Within seconds, a fast-moving car enters the frame and crashes into them. In a split-second reaction, the father pulls his daughter aside, shielding her from the brunt of the impact. He is thrown onto the pavement due to the force, while the child also falls to the ground. The vehicle does not stop and immediately flees the scene, turning the incident into a hit-and-run case.
