A Navy technician stunned police in Visakhapatnam when he walked into the Gajuwaka police station and confessed to murdering a woman. The accused, Ch Ravindra, 35, a native of Rajam in Vizianagaram district, surrendered without resistance. The crime took place at his residence in LV Nagar, under Gajuwaka police station limits.
According to The Times of India, the victim was Mounika, 29, a resident of Vizag city. Ravindra was married but had developed a relationship with her. His wife had left for her hometown in Vizianagaram a few weeks earlier, leaving him alone in the house.

What did the police find?
As per the report of The Times of India, following Ravindra's confession, officers visited his residence and recovered some body parts. Even though the victim's head was missing. Authorities suspect it was disposed of at a separate location. A special team has since been formed to trace the head and any remaining body parts.
The relationship and the fight
The Times of India further reported that Ravindra called Mounika on Sunday, March 29, and she came to his house that afternoon. The two spent several hours together. By evening, a fight broke out between them. In a fit of rage, Ravindra stabbed her to death and dismembered her body.

How did he hide the evidence?
After the crime, Ravindra allegedly packed some body parts in a bag, went to an isolated location, and destroyed them. The remaining parts were stored in his refrigerator at home. He later went to the police station, confessed, and surrendered as per the report of the Times of India.
The case has sent shock waves across the city. The grim details emerged solely because the accused chose to come forward on his own and confess to the police.
