A late-night argument over parking spiralled into a fatal shooting in Delhi, underscoring how minor disputes can quickly turn violent. The incident took place in the Preet Vihar area, where a 34-year-old man, Pankaj Nayyar, was shot dead following a confrontation with his brother’s neighbour. Nayyar had travelled from Noida to visit his brother when the altercation broke out, eventually ending in tragedy in the early hours of Monday.

Argument over parking escalates

According to NDTV, the dispute began over a limited parking space at the residential premises. The accused, identified as Gaurav Sharma, reportedly owned both a BMW and a Toyota Fortuner but had space allotted for only one vehicle. While one car was already parked, the disagreement erupted over where to place the second vehicle. What started as a verbal altercation between Sharma and the Nayyar brothers quickly intensified late at night, with tensions escalating beyond control.
