A three-year-old girl died after an alleged sexual assault in Tamil Nadu's Tiruvallur district, triggering widespread outrage and renewed concerns over the safety of children.
According to police officials, the incident took place in Gummidipoondi, an industrial town in Tiruvallur district. The child, whose family had migrated from Bihar and was residing in the SIPCOT industrial area, was reportedly playing near her home when she went missing.
