A social media post by Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MP Raghav Chadha has gained wide attention after actress Priyanka Chopra reacted to it, bringing larger focus to his recent political situation.
Chadha was recently removed as AAP’s deputy leader in the Rajya Sabha and replaced by with another member of Parliament, Ashok Mittal. In a post shared on X (formerly Twitter), Chadha highlighted the issues he has raised in the Parliament, from steep prices at airports to telecom services. Responding to this ouster, Raghav posted a video clip on his social media, saying that he is 'silenced, not defeated'.

Reaction draws attention
His sister-in-law, Priyanka Chopra, has now reacted to the video and rooted for him, an interaction that is being widely noted on social media. While there was no detailed statement stating her opinion on the matter, her response was seen as a gesture of support.
Expressing her support for Raghav, Priyanka commented on the post with heart eyes, applause and clap emoticons. Raghav Chadha is married to Parineeti Chopra, Priyanka's cousin.
Issues raised in Parliament
Chadha’s video referenced several issues he previously raised in the Parliament, including paternity leave, consumer practices, and public service concerns. Chadha highlighted that whenever he speaks in Parliament, he focuses on matters affecting the public. "Whenever I get the chance to speak in Parliament, I raise public's issues…but is it a crime or a mistake to do so? I am asking this because AAP has told the Rajya Sabha Secretariat to put a stop to Raghav Chadha's Parliament address," he said.

The AAP leader listed topics he raised during his tenure in Rajya Sabha, including high food fares at airports, gig workers' challenges, prepaid mobile plan issues and taxes affecting the middle class. He questioned why anyone would want him to be silenced when his only aim was to bring public issues to attention.
Chadha expressed gratitude to those supporting him and emphasised that his current setback does not signal defeat. "Why would anyone want to silence me?" he said. He added a stern warning, "Don't mistake my silence for my defeat."
