Delhi bus crash: 2 dead, 20+ injured

Two people lost their lives and over 20 others were injured after a bus travelling from Jaipur overturned near Jhandewalan Temple in Delhi’s Karol Bagh early Wednesday. The accident occurred around 1:08 am when the driver reportedly lost control. Police and emergency teams rushed to the spot, rescued passengers from the vehicle, and shifted the injured to Sir Ganga Ram Hospital and Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital for treatment.

Modi govt to hold all-party meet amid West Asia tensions

The Union government is scheduled to hold an all-party meeting at 5 pm today, during which it will brief political parties about the prevailing situation in West Asia and India’s response. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh is likely to chair the all-party meeting, and External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar is expected to attend it, reports suggest. Delhi High Court calls for urgent action on district judges’ security

The Delhi High Court on Tuesday asked senior officials from the Union Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), the Delhi government and the Delhi Police to convene a meeting within a week to address concerns over the security of district court judges. The direction came from Justice Manoj Jain, who underscored the seriousness of the issue while hearing a plea by the Judicial Service Association of Delhi. “The issue is important.
