Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, Delhi, said that Sonia Gandhi is now stable, in a statement on Wednesday, a day after the senior leader was admitted.
As per ANI, Dr. Ajay Swaroop, chairman of the medical facility, said that Sonia Gandhi was admitted to Sir Ganga Ram Hospital on Tuesday at 10:22 pm. Dr. Swaroop said, "She is stable. Doctors are conducting further investigations to check for possible infection in the stomach and urinary tract. A team of doctors is closely monitoring her condition, and antibiotics have been administered."

Gandhi reportedly experienced respiratory issues and was admitted prior to that at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital. As per Dr. Ajay Swaroop, Sonia Gandhi's bronchial asthma was mildly exacerbated by the combined effects of cold weather and prevailing pollution levels in Delhi, as shown by a detailed medical examination, ANI reported.
In a PTI report, sources cited Sonia Gandhi was unwell, possibly due to the weather change, and was admitted for observation. However, they said there is no cause for concern, and her condition is not serious.

Doctors decided to admit her for observation and further medical management as a precautionary protocol.
Rahul Gandhi refuses to visit Kerala
On Wednesday, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi cancelled his scheduled official visit to Kerala due to his mother's health emergency.
Rahul Gandhi’s election campaign was scheduled to kick off for the upcoming Assembly polls in Kerala today with a major rally in Kozhikode. In place of Rahul Gandhi, Senior Congress MP and party president Mallikarjun Kharge later left for a poll-bound visit in Kerala.
Last year in June, Sonia Gandhi was also admitted due to stomach-related issues. The hospital's gastro department kept her under observation.
Gandhi was admitted to Indira Gandhi Medical College and Hospital in Himachal Pradesh's Shimla earlier the same month, on June 7 last year.
