The absolute discord at the Kolkata leg of the G.O.A.T. India Tour has been the talk of the town since Saturday afternoon, when frustrated fans vandalised the Vivekananda Yuva Bharati Krirangan after not being able to get a clear view of the football legend. However, the event concluded smoothly in Hyderabad later in the evening. Mumbai is Messi's next destination on his India tour. He will participate in the Mumbai leg of the tour today. Therefore, the administration in Mumbai is ensuring an impenetrable cover of security for the star, along with Luis Suarez and Rodrigo De Paul.

What measures are being taken?

Messi will participate in events at the Brabourne and Wankhede stadiums in Mumbai. There will be star gatherings at both venues. Therefore, detailed security arrangements for both venues have been announced by the Mumbai Police. Police sources revealed that water bottles, metal objects, and coins are prohibited from being brought into the stadiums. Watchtowers have been installed for monitoring. More than 2,000 police personnel will be deployed outside Brabourne and Wankhede stadiums. This will include local police units, rapid response teams, and special groups to handle large crowds.

An expected 33,000 people are to gather outside Wankhede Stadium, and more than 4,000 outside Brabourne Stadium. No one would want to miss the opportunity to catch a glimpse of their favourite footballer. Therefore, the crowd will be controlled well before it reaches the stadium.
