Ayush Mhatre likely out for multiple games after hamstring tear; CSK faces setback despite his explosive form.

The young star of CSK and under 19 World Cup-winning captain Ayush Mhatre, sustained a hamstring tear during the match against Sunrisers Hyderabad, he played a blitz of 30 runs which helped Chennai score 76 runs in the powerplay. The World Cup-winning captain has had a beautiful outing so far and played an important role in the Chennai batting. The yellow army has displayed beautiful batting so far but if the tear is big then it will be a big blow for the yellows.

Chennai Super Kings is now at number 7 with four points in six matches.

Ayush Mhatre has made 201 runs in 6 matches with a strike rate of 177.87, he has hammered 12 sixes so far. His contribution has remained valuable for the Chennai Super Kings.

What is the update on his injury?

Talking about the matter, Mike Hussey, CSK batting coach said, "He's an exciting young talent, but it's going to give someone else an opportunity. So that's exciting as well.We've got some really good players that haven't been able to get an opportunity. And so it's going to be exciting for one of those guys.”

Adding to that he also said, “ Obviously a hamstring tear. I don't know how bad it is. I'm sure we'll scan him probably tomorrow or the next day. It looks pretty bad, unfortunately. And he's going to be a big, big loss because he's been a really nice touch for us."

As per reports, the young Indian talent can miss out on the next three or four games. In his place, Urvil Patel who had a good outing can come as a proper batter.
