Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad has invited applications for its Summer Undergraduate Research Exposure (SURE) 2026 internship programme. The prestigious institute will select a total of 250 interns, including 100 positions reserved exclusively for girls, offering students a chance to gain hands-on research experience.
Who can apply and what you get
The SURE internship is open to students who are not currently enrolled at IIT Hyderabad but are pursuing specified academic programmes and meet the required academic standards. This initiative aims to provide talented undergraduate students from across the country an opportunity to work closely with faculty members on ongoing research projects.

Selected interns will receive a fellowship of Rs. 15,000 for a full two-month internship, which amounts to Rs. 7,500 per month. For those opting for a one-and-a-half-month internship, the fellowship will be Rs. 10,000 per intern. The financial support is meant to assist students during their research tenure.
On-campus hostel accommodation will be provided to selected candidates, ensuring a convenient stay within the institute's premises. However, interns will need to bear their own mess charges during the programme.
Duration and important dates
The internship will be conducted for a duration of one to two months between May and July. The tentative programme dates are from May 15 to July 14, 2026.
