We are 4 months into 2026, and stress has become a common companion for millions. Stress-related conditions are rising, yet there is no permanent medical cure for them. Aathman Awareness Centre, founder, HH Guruji Sundar, explains it to News Ei Samay that most solutions available today are only temporary. He points out that ā€œ99% of stress in the present day is due to the tepidity and fear of the mind as well as the instability of the mind.ā€

He noted when external circumstances remain unchanged, medication alone cannot help a person cope. One either has to change the environment or move away from it to find relief. This reflects how deeply stress is tied to both surroundings and the mind’s response.

Facing stress without escaping

Meditation offers a different path. Instead of running away from pressure, it prepares the mind to face it. Guruji Sundar emphasises that through meditation, one can approach challenges with balance and clarity.

He notes that a meditator does not fear situations or outcomes. Instead, they ā€œface the situation head on with a balanced state of mindā€ and deal with consequences without tension. This inner steadiness allows individuals to respond rather than react.

Strengthening your mind through chakra meditation

Guruji Sundar highlights chakra meditation as a powerful practice. He explains that when one meditates regularly, especially on the Agna or eyebrow chakra, the mind becomes strong and fearless.

He explains, ā€œThe mind will never worry and get perturbed thinking of the happenings around it.ā€ A meditator develops a sense of preparedness, as the mind begins to anticipate outcomes and stays ready to handle them.

Meditation as an inner guide?

One of the most striking ideas the Aathman Awareness Centre founder shares is that meditation acts as an ā€œinner guru, an inner anchor and a well-wisher.ā€ It creates a space where the mind becomes receptive to truth.

He explains that while people often resist criticism or shift blame, a meditator’s mind learns to accept mistakes without prejudice. It listens, reflects, and corrects itself. This self-awareness becomes a key step toward mental stability.

A daily discipline for a healthy mind

Guruji Sundar firmly states, ā€œA meditator will never be affected by stress in this world.ā€ Even if challenges arise, the individual learns to master them over time.

Just as the body requires exercise, the mind needs regular practice. Meditation becomes that daily discipline. He recommends practising chakra meditation for at least thirty minutes each day. With consistency, it helps maintain a calm, resilient, and healthy mind.
