Quality assurance testers have started a walk-in drive at Rockstar Games' Bengaluru office. As the news spread everywhere fans went crazy and it broke the internet. The walk-in drive is scheduled for April 18, 2026, which will continue from 10:00 AM to 5:30 PM IST. Priyanka Mourya from Rockstar Games has posted about this on LinkedIn; the post also indicates a major hiring push in India for full-time, in-office QA roles.

What fans are hoping for?
The excitement stems from one simple question: will the selected candidates get early access to GTA 6, which is due for release on November 19, 2026? The Rockstar Games have not opened up about it. Though, the internet has broken down after the news that says the possibility of playing GTA 6 months before launch has sparked widespread speculation.
According to Rockstar's official website, the studio is hiring associate QA testers in Bengaluru. Even if selected candidates do get access, it would be limited -not full open-world freedom, but specific missions or features in incomplete test builds under strict conditions.
What does the job really mean?
Being a QA tester is far from the idea of getting paid to play games freely. According to gaming industry sources, the testers have been assigned particular sections to examine. They are expected to find bugs, note unusual behaviour, and reproduce glitches systematically. Every issue must be clearly documented to help developers fix problems before the final release.
For GTA 6 specifically, this could mean online systems, specific missions, or environment interactions -not a free roam across the entire world.
