A Dubai-based delivery service offering “15-minute sheep delivery” ahead of Eid Al Adha has gone viral online, triggering both amusement and debate across social media platforms. The unusual service quickly became one of the internet’s most talked-about “only in Dubai” moments this week.

The conversation began after a Dubai resident shared a screenshot of the Eid livestock delivery service online and praised the campaign’s branding strategy. The service is being offered through Noon, one of the UAE’s biggest shopping and delivery apps.

How the service works

According to a report by NDTV, Noon partnered with online butcher platform Zabehaty to offer livestock delivery options for Eid Al Adha celebrations. Customers can reportedly order sheep, goats, cows and even camels directly through the app.

The listings include different categories of livestock, such as Kashmiri sheep and Somali sheep, with prices starting from around Dh1,050. Orders are available for a limited period ahead of Eid or until stocks run out.

Another UAE-based delivery platform, Careem, has also reportedly introduced similar Eid livestock delivery options this year.

Internet reacts to the viral trend

Social media users reacted strongly after screenshots of the service started circulating online. Many people praised the idea as an example of Dubai’s fast-paced convenience culture and innovative delivery ecosystem. Others joked that “everything is available in 15 minutes in Dubai.”

At the same time, several users criticised the trend and questioned whether religious traditions were becoming overly commercialised through instant delivery services. Some also expressed discomfort about livestock being marketed in the same way as food or grocery deliveries.

The debate soon expanded beyond the app itself, with users discussing how technology and convenience apps are increasingly changing traditional festival experiences across different countries.

Why the post went viral

The phrase “15-minute sheep delivery” itself became a major talking point because many users felt it perfectly captured Dubai’s reputation for ultra-fast luxury and convenience services. The screenshots spread quickly across Instagram, LinkedIn and X, where users shared memes and reactions around the concept.

Despite the divided reactions online, the campaign has successfully drawn massive attention ahead of Eid Al Adha celebrations in the UAE.
