The Election Commission of India released a supplementary list on Monday night. Two lists have been published. One is the Adjudication Supplementary List (Number 1), the second is the Adjudication Deleted List (Number 1). What will those whose names have been dropped do now? Learn about this in this report.

More than 60 lakh names were pending in the final voter list. According to commission sources, a list of 29 lakh names has been published so far. However, the commission has not officially announced any specific number yet.

The supplementary list can be seen on the ECINET app and the eci.gov.in website. Go there and click 'SIR-2026 Download Electoral Roll' and 'Select State'. Go to Roll Type and select 'Adjudication Supplementary List No. 1' to see names. If you don't find the name there, select 'Adjudication Deleted List No. 1'. Besides, the list will also reach booth, BDO, SDO, and district magistrate offices. You can also check your name's status from there.

Tribunals to handle objections

Having a name on the deleted list means your name has been dropped from the voter list. What path is now open for you? The Supreme Court has directed the formation of tribunals to submit objection-related applications. Nineteen tribunals have been formed for 23 districts. Nineteen judges are in charge of those tribunals.

Those whose names are being dropped can apply through the ECINET App or by visiting the Election Commission of India website. Offline applications can also be made to district magistrates, additional district magistrates, and sub-divisional officers.

However, when this tribunal will become operational is not yet certain. This is because the state government is responsible for arranging the tribunal offices. Once that is settled, the High Court must be informed. The tribunal will become operational after the High Court gives the green signal. Only then will application acceptance begin.
