Diamond Harbour MP Abhishek Banerjee visited the Sebaashray camp in Falta on Sunday for an inspection. He went to the Sebaashray-2 camp set up at the BDO office grounds in the Harindanga area of the Falta assembly constituency and interacted with people who had arrived for medical treatment.

A large crowd had gathered on both sides of the road leading to the Sebaashray camp. As Abhishek Banerjee’s car entered the area, people welcomed him with enthusiasm. Elderly residents waved in greeting, while younger people took out their mobile phones to capture the moment. Seeing the crowd, Abhishek stood up by opening the door of his moving car and greeted those gathered. Noticing the sheer number of people lining the road, he later stepped out of the vehicle to meet them more closely.

The All India General Secretary of Trinamool proceeded towards the Sebaashray camp while exchanging courtesies. In that crowd stood an elderly woman wearing a green saree. Her body was frail. It was evident that she was experiencing some physical discomfort. As soon as Abhishek noticed her in the crowd, he went forward. He told the police to take the elderly woman by car. The MP himself came forward to help her get into the car.

After that, he again walked forward towards the Sebaashray camp while engaging with people. There was a statue of Swami Vivekananda at the campsite. Abhishek paid his respects there with flowers. Then he entered the camp and spoke with the patients. He examined all the arrangements in detail. Upon entering, he met the same elderly woman again in the ICU room, whom he had helped into the car. By then, the elderly woman was much better and normal.

With a smiling face, holding Abhishek's hand, the elderly woman said, "I was feeling dizzy."

From there, Abhishek also met other patients who had come to Sebaashray. He spoke with doctors and nurses. He toured the arrangements. A teenage girl was sitting in the orthopaedic ward. She had come with her father. She had fallen, and since then was having memory problems. Abhishek gave an affectionate touch to the little girl's head and left. He observed how the cardiology, neurology, and other departments were functioning.

Meanwhile, when he met children, he filled their little hands with chocolates. Many had come with serious problems. The MP listened attentively to their concerns as well. He gave instructions to take the necessary measures as required.

It was learned that a special 'Infertility Clinic' for women has been launched in the Falta assembly constituency. Through this clinic, women from marginalised and backward families in society will receive quality medical services and specialist doctors' consultation.
