As Prince Harry returns to London next week on January 19, his father King Charles III reportedly has no plans whatsoever to meet his son.
Harry will visit the United Kingdom for a few days in connection with a High Court trial case related to his legal claim against Associated Newspapers, according to a report by People magazine.
The UK monarch briefly met Harry in September 2025 and has alleged that his son is "untrustworthy", especially when it comes to sharing details about his father's health.

Is Harry a liability?
"The royal family views him as untrustworthy and a liability, largely due to concerns that private conversations will quickly find their way into the Press. This is especially sensitive given that the king’s cancer treatment is considered a deeply private matter," royal expert Kinsey Schofield told Fox News Digital about Harry's upcoming trip back home.
Reportedly, at the time of Harry's visit, King Charles III will not even be in London as he usually goes to Scotland to take a break from royal duties in January.
Schofield revealed that King Charles and Harry "do not regularly communicate".
After months of negotiations between their respective teams, Prince Harry and King Charles had met in September 2025 for a mere 50 minutes. That was the first time the duo came face-to-face in 19 months.
Harry's legal battle
Harry's latest trial against Associated Newspapers Limited, the publisher of the Daily Mail and Mail on Sunday, is set to begin on January 19. He, along with several other celebrities like Elton John and Elizabeth Hurley, is suing over claims of illegal information-gathering practices in his ongoing battle with a British tabloid.

Prince Harry has a life shaped by conflict, British broadcaster Helena Chard told Fox News Digital.
"He has sued the Mail on Sunday and much more, to the embarrassment of his father. He still maintains that he has been stitched up by the establishment. It’s a no-brainer, and safe to say, that King Charles will not be seeing Prince Harry," she observed.
