Gold and silver prices have dropped again in the country's market. The day after the budget, silver prices fell by nearly 4 percent on the country's multi-commodity exchange. As a result, the price of silver per kg became 2 lakh 55 thousand 652 taka. This led to silver prices falling by nearly 39 percent from record levels. Due to continuous increases in the new year, the price of silver per kg had touched 4 lakh 20 thousand taka. Silver has become much cheaper from that level.
Volatility was also seen in silver prices in the international market on Monday. Silver prices had dropped by nearly 12 percent immediately after trading began. But after that, it increased by nearly 8 percent. As a result, the price of Comex silver per ounce became 84.14 dollars.

A step by the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) is also being mentioned in experts' analysis behind the dollar strengthening and the fall in precious metals. CME has increased margins for Comex gold and silver futures.
For gold futures, it has increased from 6 percent to 8 percent. For silver futures, it has increased from 11 percent to 16 percent. This has emerged as one of the main reasons for the fall in gold and silver prices in the international market.
