On Wednesday, Eternal Ltd. announced a leadership transition at the top, with founder Deepinder Goyal stepping down as Group Chief Executive Officer. Albinder Dhindsa, currently leading Blinkit, will assume the role of Group CEO with immediate effect, the company said in a regulatory filing.
Dhindsa will oversee all of Eternal’s key businesses, including food delivery, quick commerce, Hyperpure, and newer verticals. The move signals a shift in the company’s leadership approach as Eternal enters a phase focused on scale, execution, and operational efficiency.
Who is Albinder Dhindsa?
Albinder Dhindsa is a seasoned operator with deep roots in India’s consumer internet ecosystem. An alumnus of IIT Delhi, he completed his B.Tech. between 2000 and 2004, developing a strong analytical foundation early in his career. He later pursued an MBA at Columbia Business School from 2010 to 2012, gaining global exposure to finance, strategy, and leadership.

Before embarking on the startup world, Dhindsa has experience in consulting and finance. His early career included positions at URS Corporation and Cambridge Systematics, where he worked on transportation and planning-related projects.
First stint at Zomato
In 2011, he had a brief tenure as an associate at UBS Investment Bank in New York, giving him experience in investment banking. Dhindsa then joined Zomato, later in the year, as the Head of International Operations. During his time at Zomato, he was able to contribute to the company’s international expansion and gain experience in managing the growth of the company.
In 2014, he left Zomato to found Grofers, later rebranded as Blinkit. Over the years, he built Blinkit into one of India’s leading quick-commerce platforms, known for its focus on logistics, unit economics, and fast delivery. Following Zomato’s acquisition of Blinkit in 2022, the platform emerged as Eternal’s fastest-growing business.
With Dhindsa now set to lead the group, Eternal is entering a new chapter shaped by operational discipline and large-scale execution.
