On Friday, Sonam Kapoor posted the first picture of her second child, a baby boy, thanking the OBGYN and the medical team. In her Instagram post, she shared how grateful she is to the medical team of the hospital and wrote, “Thank you to HN Reliance Hospital for the most incredible experience as we welcomed our second son into the world." It has truly been exceptional in every way.”
Among all the photos on her Instagram, one particular picture melted people’s hearts; it captures a candid moment of her cradling her newborn while resting on a hospital bed. In another image, Sonam was seen having a meal in the hospital in her hospital dress.
Through her post, she extends her words of gratitude towards the medical team of the hospital who safely brought her baby into the world, which reads, “A very special thank you to my OBGYN, Dr Avaan Dadina, who has now guided me through both my pregnancies. "There is a sense of trust, calm, and reassurance in her care that is so rare, and I'm endlessly grateful for her support, wisdom, and kindness.”

She continued, “To the entire team, thank you for being such thorough professionals and for going beyond that with your gentleness, empathy, and genuine care. It's not always something one expects in a hospital, but it absolutely should be, and it made this experience so meaningful. It’s truly remarkable what Nita Aunty has created, a space where excellence and compassion exist so seamlessly together. Feeling deeply grateful, cared for, and blessed; grateful for the incredible team who cared for us.”

On Sunday, Sonam and Anand shared the good news via an Instagram post, which reads, “With immense gratitude and hearts full of love, we are delighted to announce the arrival of our baby boy on the 29th of March 2026. Our family has grown, and with his arrival, our hearts have expanded most beautifully." Sonam met Anand during the promotion of Prem Ratan Dhan Payo in 2015. Hindustan Times wrote that in the past Sonam had revealed that, though her friends wanted to set up with one of Anand’s friends, she ended up talking to Anand more. In 2018, the couple tied the knot. In 2022, Sonam and Anand welcomed their first child, Vayu.
The actor says in her Instagram post, “Vayu is overjoyed to welcome his little brother, and we feel deeply blessed by this precious new life who has filled our home with happiness and grace. " Sonam and Anand are grateful to begin this beautiful new chapter as a family of four."
