A major fire broke out on the Charminar Express on Sunday morning, triggering panic among passengers. The incident occurred near Aler station in Telangana’s Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district when the S-5 coach of the train suddenly caught fire.

According to sources, passengers first noticed smoke billowing from inside the compartment as the train was entering Aler railway station. Within moments, the S-5 coach was engulfed in flames, leading to chaos and panic inside the train.

Swift response averts casualties

Railway officials and fire brigade personnel rushed to the spot immediately after receiving the alert. The train was halted, and passengers were safely evacuated from the affected and nearby coaches. Authorities later brought the fire under control. No casualties have been reported so far.

The exact cause of the fire remains unclear. However, preliminary findings suggest a possible short circuit may have triggered the blaze. Railway officials have not yet issued an official statement confirming the cause.
