The meeting comes at a politically significant moment for the INDIA bloc, with questions emerging about the alliance’s future after setbacks and shifts witnessed in the recent state elections.
The Assembly election results triggered major political developments across several states. In West Bengal, the BJP defeated the TMC for the first time in the state. In Tamil Nadu, the Congress parted ways with its long-time ally DMK and joined hands with TVK.
Meanwhile, in Kerala, the Congress-led United Democratic Front (UDF) defeated the Left Democratic Front (LDF), reshaping political equations within the Opposition space.
