It was a night illuminated by the class and composure of Sai Sudharsan, who continued his remarkable rise in the Indian Premier League with a sublime century against Royal Challengers Bengaluru. The left-hander brought up his third IPL hundred with a composed yet authoritative knock, once again underlining his importance at the top of the order. His innings was marked by elegant stroke play and smart strike rotation, as he built his knock patiently before accelerating in the latter stages to put the opposition under pressure.

Consistency defining his IPL journey

Sudharsan’s IPL journey so far reflects a rare blend of consistency and impact. With over 2000 runs in just over 35 matches, he has emerged as one of the most dependable batters in the tournament. This century was his third in the IPL, adding to his growing list of standout performances, along with more than ten half-centuries that highlight his ability to convert starts into big scores.

GT post big total but bowlers falter

Riding on Sudharsan’s brilliance, Gujarat Titans posted a formidable total crossing the 200-run mark. The innings appeared to have laid the perfect foundation for a winning result, with the batting unit delivering when it mattered most. However, the bowlers were unable to capitalise on the strong total, struggling to contain the opposition during the chase.

RCB spoils high-scoring chase

Royal Challengers Bengaluru responded with intent, chasing down the target in a commanding fashion. Virat Kohli led the charge with a composed innings, anchoring the chase and ensuring that RCB maintained control despite the pressure of a big target.
