The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has invited applications for its Internship 2026 programme at the Technology Centre in Bengaluru. The application window is open from April 1 and will close on April 15, 2026. Interested and eligible candidates can apply through the official link within this period, The Times of India reported.

The authority has stated that selected interns will receive an attractive stipend. A total of 28 internship positions are currently available, though the number may change depending on requirements.

Disciplines offered

The internship is open to students from a wide range of academic backgrounds. These include engineering and technology courses such as B.Tech, BE and MTech, along with design programmes like B-Des and M-Des.

Students from mathematics and statistics streams, both undergraduate and postgraduate, are also eligible to apply, making the programme accessible to candidates with analytical and technical skill sets.

Skills required for roles

For technical roles, applicants are expected to have knowledge of programming languages such as Go, Java, Python and C++. Familiarity with ReactJS, React Native, data science, AI/ML, full stack development, and mobile app development is also desirable.

Candidates applying for design roles should have an understanding of UI/UX principles, research methods, and prototyping. Skills in typography, layout, and tools like Adobe Suite and Figma are also important.

Duration, location and selection

The internship will be conducted in Bengaluru and will have a minimum duration of six months. Preference will be given to candidates willing to commit to this period.

UIDAI has noted that it reserves the right to reject applications or cancel the selection process at any stage. Applicants are advised to ensure that all details submitted are accurate, as incorrect information may lead to disqualification.

Candidates are encouraged to apply well before the deadline to avoid last-minute issues.
