Chennai Super Kings (CSK) paid tribute to two of their most iconic players by inducting Suresh Raina and Matthew Hayden into the franchise’s first-ever Hall of Fame. The honour was announced during the “Roar 2026” event at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, celebrating their invaluable contributions to CSK’s legacy. Both players played pivotal roles in shaping the team’s dominance in the early and peak years of the IPL, earning a special place in the hearts of fans.

Raina the synonym of CSK’s legacy

Suresh Raina, the “Chinna Thala,” for the Og yellow fans remains one of CSK’s most influential figures. Since the inaugural IPL season in 2008, Raina was instrumental in multiple title-winning campaigns and consistently delivered under pressure.

He continues to be CSK’s leading run-scorer, with over 5,500 runs, in the event the yellow army management tagged and priced him with CSK’s Hall of fame inductee his aggressive batting, sharp fielding gave CSK fans and the team moments of joy. Hayden’s impact in early years

Matthew Hayden, the former Australian opener, one of the key forces in CSK’s initial success. Representing the team from 2008 to 2010, He played a crucial role in CSK’s 2010 IPL title win and had earlier secured the Orange Cap in 2009 with a stellar run-scoring season. His aggressive approach and match-winning performances made him one of the most feared batters during his time with the franchise.
