Iran has expressed gratitude to India for sending humanitarian aid during the ongoing conflict involving the United States and Israel. The Iranian Embassy in India shared a message on X, saying, “Thank you India, will never forget your kindness, humanity.”

India has been providing medical supplies and essential goods to Iran through the Iranian Red Crescent Society to support people affected by the war. The country has also been following its policy of "Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam", meaning “the world is one family,” by helping nations in times of crisis.

Apart from aid, India has evacuated more than 550 of its citizens from Iran, with many crossing into Armenia. The Ministry of External Affairs has been actively working to ensure the safe return of Indians amid the conflict.

Iran has also reported that US-Israel strikes have hit several locations, including a hospital in Andimeshk. Patients and doctors were moved to another city. According to Iranian state media, the death toll in Iran has crossed 1,500, while at least 15 people have been killed in Israel due to Iranian attacks. Civilian casualties have also been reported in the West Bank and Gulf regions.

Tensions rise over Strait of Hormuz

The situation has further escalated as Iran has effectively blocked the Strait of Hormuz, a crucial route for global oil supply. Attacks on ships and fears of further strikes have disrupted tanker movement, affecting oil exports and global energy supply.

As per reports of AP, US President Donald Trump warned that if Iran does not reopen the strait, the US would target its major infrastructure, saying it would destroy its “various POWER PLANTS, STARTING WITH THE BIGGEST ONE FIRST!”

In response, Iran’s parliament speaker Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf warned that any attack on Iran’s infrastructure would lead to retaliation against key facilities across the region, including energy and water plants, which could be “irreversibly destroyed.”
