The Indian comedian Samay Raina has commented on the ongoing debate about “India’s Got Latent” in his most recent comedy special called “Still Alive.”
In his special, Raina talked about how the negative reaction occurred when Ranveer Allahbadia posed a question on the show that many people considered rude. According to Raina, the moment that sparked outrage was not an isolated instance.

“Main tumhe sach batata hoon… us episode mein woh sawal 8 baar poocha gaya tha,” he said, adding that he chose to retain only one instance in the final edit while removing the rest.
He framed the decision as an attempt to minimise the impact, joking that he had “removed 99 per cent” of the objectionable content. The remarks, delivered in his signature comedic style, drew laughter from the audience.

Controversy and fallout
The initial airing of India’s Got Latent prompted a backlash against Allahbadia on social media following a sexually suggestive question he asked one of the participants.
The issue later escalated to the Supreme Court of India, where Allahbadia got interim relief from being arrested while still receiving criticism for making inappropriate statements.
