A Portuguese woman revealed an unpleasant encounter she had when travelling by train in India, claiming that other passengers' actions made the trip uncomfortable. In an internet video, the traveller explained how she and her friend were allegedly stared at by a group of males during the trip. She said that when one of the males followed her into the restroom during the journey, the situation got worse, making both women feel uncomfortable and worried.
An uncomfortable journey
A Portuguese passenger reportedly experienced uncomfortable behaviour from a few guys sitting next to her in a 3AC compartment during a train journey across Jodhpur. The woman, who posted a video about her experience online, claimed that since she and her friend usually travel in this class, they were expecting an ordinary, safe journey. But she says that when a group of males seated across from them started staring at them nonstop, everything started to feel weird.
She said that both travellers were uncomfortable during the trip because the men continued staring at her as they switched positions to keep an eye on them.
About her posted video
She also added, “We were on a 3AC train in India, which is usually very safe and the class we normally take. But during this ride, a group of boys sitting across from us kept staring, changing seats and watching us constantly. It started to feel really uncomfortable." She said, “At one point, I needed to go to the bathroom. Instead of using the one right next to our seats, I walked to another compartment because I didn’t want to pass directly by them," she claimed, “About 30 seconds after I entered the bathroom, one of the boys followed me and tried to open the door." “Luckily, my friend noticed he followed me and came to wait outside the bathroom for me," she added. “After that, we reported it to the ticket officer, who handled the situation and moved us to another compartment (2AC) where we felt much safer."
